A Different Feeling (by A.J.)

So today I wanted to mess around with editing a little and try giving my photos a different feeling.  Here goes nothing . . . :)

The peaches in my kitchen were sitting in a Fiesta bowl from the 1940's.  I couldn't resist.  :)

I hope you enjoyed, and I really hope that this was enough.  :)  I edited a few more but they just didn't come out as I hoped they would.

How to Take Pictures in a New Dorm Room

How to Take Pictures in a New Dorm Room
{A Step-by-Step Guide}
* indicates an optional step

Step 1: Convince your roommate to stand in the middle of the room.

Step 2: Make her stand there as you adjust camera settings, curtains and blinds until you are able to achieve the lighting you were aiming for.

Step 3: [Using two tacks] Pin up a super fancy backdrop (*cough cough* bed sheet bought at Target specifically for this purpose)

Step 4: Allow your roommate to tuck the bottom of the super fancy backdrop out of the way when not in use (because she did let you put it over her doorway, after all.)

Step 5: Bribe your roommate to stand in the middle of the room [in front of the sheet] for you again.

Step 6: Continue adjusting things to achieve desired "look".

*Step 7: Invite your friend with newly dyed pink hair to come pose for you.

*Step 8: Tell her to pose like she is Gwen Stefani and she knows how awesome she is.

*Step 9: Introduce a fun prop (such as this pretty blue chair that complements her hair color wonderfully)

Step 10: Load them to your computer and have lots of fun editing!!

And that's the end.

Branson, Missouri! {{A Friday Post by Carolyn}}

  Long time no post!  :P  I am seriously so, so, so, sorry.  Time has gotten away from me, I've forgotten to post, I've just . . . been rather terrible about FTP.  And I really am sorry, guys.

  Well, to make up for that, you're going to see my vacation pictures!  I can't post all of them, as some of them have my cousins in them and such. :]  But, be expecting LOTS of pictures.  XD

  On our way to Branson, there were these beautiful limestone bluffs.  Want to know how they got there?  Before the roads were here, it was just limestone upon limestone.  Then they carved it away and made our roads!  Quite a process!  :D

  As you can see, they go on and on.  They're very pretty.  :]

Sorry that some of these are pretty blurry.  I was sitting in a moving car.  XD

  At Branson Landing {a place to shop} there's this water show with this fountain that's set to music.  It's SO cool!  If you look closely, you can see a little rainbow!

  My cousin's wet TOMS.  Yes, she's younger than me, and she has TOMS.  It's because they were her mom's, but they didn't fit her, so she gave them to her!  :D  But we got SPRAYED by the fountain!  It was so fun!  :]

  So, look forward to more posts from me!  :D

  Which picture was your favorite?  Comment below!

Replacements

All of us photo-editing junkies have heard about it. Picnik. The most amazing photo editing site EVER is shutting down. What will we do? This question coursed through my head as I searched the internet in earnest awhile back. Then I found it. This to be precise.

This website shows replacements for Picnik. I know it can never be replaced in our hearts, but there will be a way to still edit photos. Using that website as a source, I give you:

Picnik's Free Fraternal Twins

These websites do the same as Picnik, but aren't exactly the same :)

1. FotoFlexer
There are almost more editing options than Picnik, including, but not limited to: Glitter Text, Animated Stickers, Blemish-Fixer, Distortions, etc. Check it out!
2. Pixlr

3.iPiccy

This site is, as the source tells me, the CLOSEST to Picnik that there can possibly be, plus more! I couldn't get a picture, I needed  higher version to get to the site. I think this site looks the most promising. Go ahead and check it- er- them, all out!
